The Triad Region of North Carolina

Where is the Triad in of North Carolina? The Triad is often confused with the Triangle part of the state. The NC Triad is located in the Western Piedmont section and is home to Winston-Salem, High Point, and Greensboro. This is one of the fastest growing areas in the country and for good reason! The geographic parts of this area are unique and wonderful. We are very close to the Appalachian mountains and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Yet we are also a few hours away from some of the best beaches in the country. The Outer Banks of North Carolina are a diverse and historically rich destination. Meanwhile right in the middle you have major cities for shopping, dining, and industry. Likewise, this seems to be a target area because it is centrally located between the North East Region of the US where the costs of living are higher and weather is colder, and the far south with the sunny Florida beaches and warm weather. North Carolina is just a great place to live!

Why North Carolina?

Covering nearly one half of North Carolina in the central part of the state, the Piedmont is an area of gently rolling foothills with the occasional boulder or unexpected rock outcropping. The Piedmont region boasts of one of the most dynamic economies in the United States and is home to the state's largest cities and biggest financial institutions. Renowned research universities, textile and furniture factories, tobacco farms, shopping meccas, top golf courses and abundant historic sites are also part of the makeup of the Piedmont.

Although the area enjoys four distinct seasons, temperatures are mild year round. The average wintertime temperature is about 42 degrees. In summer, it's 77 degrees. The area also enjoys sunshine for about 210 days a year.

Mocksville Mocksville is a wonderful little town located in Davie County. The area is full of history and lots of good people. There is an allure about this town that many of our buyers can not resist. Maybe it is the small town feel, or the big city convenience. Either way this is a very popular choice for many of our customers who are relocating. The school system is wonderful the area has that "family feel" to it.

AdvanceThe Advance area is a booming area   with tons of new construction and great property  appreciation. It is a very desirable place to live for those folks seeking low county taxes yet minutes from the big city of Winston Salem. There are many places to dine and shop. Advance is seeing lots of development and has several restricted communities and country clubs.

Lexington: One thing comes to mind when people think of Lexington: BBQ! There are many restaurants here that serve the famous Lexington style BBQ. In fact it is home to the annual BBQ festival. Lexington is a small city and the county seat of Davidson county. The biggest draw for this area is High Rock Lake, one of the biggest lakes in NC. Many people come here to vacation and enjoy the great fishing, boating, and water sports.

Kernersville: A wonderful town located right in the middle of all the major cities. In a matter of minutes you can be in High Point, Greensboro, or Winston Salem. It has great appeal to those who do not want to live in the big city but like being close to the big city amenities. The town is rich with history and some great places to eat ( I would recommend Prissy Pollys BBQ!!).

Winston Salem: Winston Salem was born of the tobacco industry. RJR has their head quarters here as well as many other large corporations. One of the major cities in the Triad area Winston has tons of shopping and eating experiences to offer. The suburbs of Winston contain a vast array of real estate choices from townhouse, condos, cluster homes, and the typical suburban development. This is the place to be if you like convenience.

Clemmons Clemmons is a growing city just on the out- skirts of Winston Salem. It is home to Tanglewood Park, a great place for golf, horseback riding, swimming, or their famous Festival of Lights in December. There are many town home, condos, and suburban developments to choose from in Clemmons. Nestled between Advance and W-S, you can have the best of both worlds.
